It finally happened - one accidental click

after 1 year of being careful with the mouse

I've been with AdSense for over one year now. Been doing good overall - growing from 1 site then to 4 sites now. Been keeping everything in line with the TOS - straight as straight can ever be.

But late this evening, while checking on one of my new sites before going to bed, it finally happened - I accidentally clicked on one of my AdSense blocks. And now I can't sleep.

Should I worry about this one accidental click? Should I even bother Google with an email about this?

Ok. I received the reply today. It's a thank you note with a reminder that such clicking is prohibited. Just as described by others who also received it. No harm done - advertiser was not charged.

Email goes directly to my "very important emails" archives.

Just clicked a darn banner myself, as I went to click a link the page scrolled a little under me (which seems to happen a fair bit in firefox) and there I am off heading to a web hosting site :(

I can't actually recall when my last accidental click was, and given the scale of my sites think this is way too trivial to bother google with.

Jema, I take the opposite view,
Google don't mind if you do.
A belt and braces approach it may be,
But better that, than to be sorry.

If your accidental click shows up as being worth $0.00 then who cares? If it actually earned money, even 5 cents then yeah, let Google know.

I know... Write Google a cheque for $0.00.
