Cheers,

well there are many books about AdSense, promising awesome increasement in payments without much work
I have put in my URL filter about 100 MLM promising much money without much work.
I could write a book about making money with AdSense, but who would buy it?
25.000 km per year for creating content,
4 pages a day all written by myself?
That's to much work and to less get richt quick to be sold.
They aren't going to tell you any secrets, but from the point of not having to wade through a lot of white noise in the forum they may be worth it for that to some. You just need to accept that that is what you will get out of them as opposed to the secret formula for a better life.
This is a real-time illustration of how obsolete computer-related books have become. The only thing that doesn't change in a present day computer text is the bits and bytes lecture.
BUT... I still think there is a good market for Adsense books, especially in print, and for new Adsense users. Main reason being that Adsense promises to be easy to implement (and it is!), but it is more complex if you want to be successful. Just think of blending, MFAs, and statistics. You have to read a lot in order to get this all condensed into one book.
I am also classing them as an overhead too - to reduce my tax bill.
As previous posters have mentioned they are useful as they focus in far more detail than short comments here on individual case studies and real life examples. Hence they are worth it to those Adsense publishers that despite some optimisation based on the comments on this site, have a popular site and want to increase the revenue. However obviously the traffic has to be there first.
What's contained in the books is basic to advanced information on the psychology of advertising and human-user computer interaction as well as using more detailed statistics to increase your bottom line.
It's a shame Google hasn't integrated Google Analytics with Google Adsense (only Adwords) - however the channels addition to Adsense has helped people focus more on their high paying pages.
If someone could automate the process of writing content that would fit the middle or high paying ads, answering user queries and paying the hosting/domain name fees they'd be onto a goldmine.
There's already been discussion of Adsense abitrage previously on this forum. However for sites to get beyond a certain size, webmasters need to focus on offline as well as online marketing.
I personally wouldn't buy one, or reccommend one either, but I don't have a problem with them either - they have limited usefulness.
To be perfectly honest the Adsense books I got were about optimising Adsense. Writing content/gaining traffic weren't touched upon. Maybe I haven't come across those ones - but they sound close to a "get rich quick scheme" - trying to offer a bespoke turnkey solution to the gullible for hard $$$.
I gave the ebook a very quick glance, set the stats up and got some eye-opening surprises on what was being clicked where and when -- earned back the cost of the package in a day. I wouldn't buy another book, but I'd certainly recommend a tracker if you don't already have one.
As I was totally new then, they got me excited with money possibilities , affiliate incomes and high paying keywords. I was partly fooled but grew up fast.
Never paid for the full book :-)
Now I only focus on my website, keep checking this forum and ofcourse keep checking my adsense a/c.
