well there are many books about AdSense, promising awesome increasement in payments without much work. some of them looks quite realistic and proved, the others are scams on the first look. the question is, does someone of you have some experience with some book about adsense, and helped it to you somehow? i think i know quite a lot about this so don't want to waste my money on some crap. if you got some recommendation, i'll be happy to see what's worth buying/reading...

Hey pacman, I'm no expert when it comes to adsense, but all the information you need is right here on webmasterworld or on articles online. A book is probably going to have the same information online such as a heat map, and all that other stuff on google's tips page. I wouldn't get a book if I were you!

I make good money from AdSense and once in awhile I will buy a book that claims to teach you the "secrets" of AdSense. I usually get a great laugh out of them. They do not teach you correct concepts. AdSense is more of an art than science. Read in the forums and test things yourself. You should be able to uncover the magic formula for your industry.

Cheers,

I have put in my URL filter about 100 MLM promising much money without much work.

I could write a book about making money with AdSense, but who would buy it?

25.000 km per year for creating content,
4 pages a day all written by myself?

That's to much work and to less get richt quick to be sold.

They condense the wisdom of this forum - that's about all. So you can either lurk here a while and get the full story, including counter opinions and experiences, or you can splash the cash and buy the condensed version that will be restricted to the authors viewpoint.

They aren't going to tell you any secrets, but from the point of not having to wade through a lot of white noise in the forum they may be worth it for that to some. You just need to accept that that is what you will get out of them as opposed to the secret formula for a better life.

I have not found them useful

So you're saying that AdSense books are just forum scrapers... how ironic.

This is a real-time illustration of how obsolete computer-related books have become. The only thing that doesn't change in a present day computer text is the bits and bytes lecture.

Hmm. I have not purchased any book about Adsense, neither printed nor eBook. I learnt a lot about Adsense here by lurking.

BUT... I still think there is a good market for Adsense books, especially in print, and for new Adsense users. Main reason being that Adsense promises to be easy to implement (and it is!), but it is more complex if you want to be successful. Just think of blending, MFAs, and statistics. You have to read a lot in order to get this all condensed into one book.

Regarding Adsense e-books I have bought a few of them. Before using them my monthly income from Adsense was $#*$!, now it's $xxxx (364% increase in revenue by simple changes). In other words what would've taken me before 3.5 years to earn, now I earn in 1.

I am also classing them as an overhead too - to reduce my tax bill.

As previous posters have mentioned they are useful as they focus in far more detail than short comments here on individual case studies and real life examples. Hence they are worth it to those Adsense publishers that despite some optimisation based on the comments on this site, have a popular site and want to increase the revenue. However obviously the traffic has to be there first.

What's contained in the books is basic to advanced information on the psychology of advertising and human-user computer interaction as well as using more detailed statistics to increase your bottom line.

It's a shame Google hasn't integrated Google Analytics with Google Adsense (only Adwords) - however the channels addition to Adsense has helped people focus more on their high paying pages.

If someone could automate the process of writing content that would fit the middle or high paying ads, answering user queries and paying the hosting/domain name fees they'd be onto a goldmine.

There's already been discussion of Adsense abitrage previously on this forum. However for sites to get beyond a certain size, webmasters need to focus on offline as well as online marketing.

I'm not saying the ebooks are forum scrapers, but that there isn't likely to be any information in these ebooks that hasn't been done to death in this forum already. They might represent good value over wading through countless posts to get up to speed to some, as long as they understand that's all these ebooks will do.

I personally wouldn't buy one, or reccommend one either, but I don't have a problem with them either - they have limited usefulness.

okey, it seems to better beware this. i know a lot abnout online publishing so i suppose it would be all the same model - how to write 100 pages about nothing, or about minimum of valuable content. i saw some videos or presentations about these ebooks, and they simply repeat still same things so one can think they are like treasures of gold mine ideas, but it will be probably as we all think - only summarizing all known facts...

I think basically this is why you've got to be selective - read a sample chapter or two first before you buy. Use an established author - check book reviews, references etc. Make sure they're not just cobbling together forum comments but actually have a coherent grasp of advertising and marketing strategies.

To be perfectly honest the Adsense books I got were about optimising Adsense. Writing content/gaining traffic weren't touched upon. Maybe I haven't come across those ones - but they sound close to a "get rich quick scheme" - trying to offer a bespoke turnkey solution to the gullible for hard $$$.

I purchased one -- or rather I purchased a tracker that came with one. As the above comments suggest there is little (if anything) in the book that you won't fine in forums like this for freee -- bit it is condensed and you don't have to spend hours filtering through comments to get the gems. In many ways it is this filtering you're paying for.

I gave the ebook a very quick glance, set the stats up and got some eye-opening surprises on what was being clicked where and when -- earned back the cost of the package in a day. I wouldn't buy another book, but I'd certainly recommend a tracker if you don't already have one.

I have registered at the free sites and gone through a few pages of their e books. I also got some free excerpts in my mail.

As I was totally new then, they got me excited with money possibilities , affiliate incomes and high paying keywords. I was partly fooled but grew up fast.

Never paid for the full book :-)

Now I only focus on my website, keep checking this forum and ofcourse keep checking my adsense a/c.

Try searching with: adsense filetype:pdf in Google. Don't ever pay for one of these things.... :)

Well most of the authors of such ebooks claims that they earn 1000$ or more per day with these tricks. Do u realy think that a person who is earning 1000$ per day is stupid enough to write all his tricks in a book and sell it for 70-150$, the same amount that according to him he earns on hourly basis.
