Using AdSense to Bring Traffic - Anyone Try?

Buying Ads for Traffic

Hi Folks;

I went through my site today to block all the new junk ads from appearing (getting harder each day) and this time I actually clicked on all the suspicious ones.

I found out something interesting.... a lot of the ads were for sites that are a lot cheezier then mine.

That got me thinking, should I try out advertising with Google to bring in traffic? I can't afford much but by the looks of some of the cheezy sites advertising with AdSense maybe it's a possiblility?

Does anyone have experience with using Google for advertising they can share? I do need more traffic, that's for sure.

Thanks!
Marvin

I would suggest visiting the AdWords forum:

Is that the same as the adsense ads?

Adwords is buying/placing an ad.
Adsense is displaying/publishing an ad.

You're wondering about buying some :)

Hmmm, this sounds like a prequel to another "I got banned from AdSense!" thread.

Not quite - I was using the AdSense Preview Tool to do my monthly 'check & boot'. It's otherwise known as "increase my epcm" routine :)

If you're talking about arbitrage, tons of people do it, mostly MFA sites.
