Question about transferring existing Adsense pages to new account

Long time reader, first time poster. Thanks in advance for any advice/comments.

I need to transfer about 10,000 existing Adsense pages to a new account that I just created. (To clarify - the only thing that will actually change is the publisher ID variable in the Google script.)

The reason for the change is because the old account uses a company name (and EIN) that's no longer extant. Google won't let you *modify* that type of info, and requires you to open a new account and transfer the stuff over to that new account.

My question is this - I'm doing 4 figures a month with these pages, and I'm wondering if I'll take any monetary hit for moving them to a new account. That is, am I enjoying special advantages, etc. for having a 2-year old Adsense account that I will no longer have with the new account?

Just a bit concerned since this represents a sizeable contribution to my monthly income.

Thanks!

There shouldn't be any financial loss to you. I had a similar experience. I could not change all my coding in one day so what G let you do is to activate the new account so you start with the new id number etc. In the mean time, the hits and income to your old account are "saved" and when you are ready for the switch, they cancel the old account and transfer the balance to your new account.
What was strange however, was that I believed I had changed all my pages and coding over to the new account, and yet I was still getting a 3% traffic to the old account (on pages that didn't have the old coding).
I put that down to that some visitors were looking at cached pages, but it didn't last long - a month or so.

are you saying you can transfer your balance from one adsense account to another?

I have done this with no problem when i closed the old account cheque was sent at the end of the month as normal

One thing I can tell you though in my case at the end of the financial year the figures given to me for IRS included moneys that were paid under the old account id which was confusing and caused some problems for my accountant at tax time

but no loss of income to speak of due to the change

Thanks for the answers guys. I was just a little concerned that Google's algorithm for EPC was somehow influenced by the length of time an account had been opened.

re: are you saying you can transfer your balance from one adsense account to another?

yes, but only when the first account is closed. You cannot have 2 simultaneously
