I'm always adding to the competetive filter, but still, new crap ads show.
Here's the thing. I just copied this same page, renamed it and uploaded it. No other changes made, only the filename. The ads are perfectly on target, all about webdesign.
Do I have to rename all my pages to get some proper targeting?
Any thoughts on this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Edit: I just refreshed a couple times and now the new page is also showing some clothing tag ads. I guess I can't win.
I think poor keyword and keyphrase choices by advertisers are responsible for much of the mis-targeting we see. Unfortunately, that's what the entire system is based on. It's the least well thought out facet of Adwords/Adsense integration on Google's part.
1. I highly recommend that you change each and every web page file name to target the required keyword!
2. Make unique Title Tag, Description and keyword Meta Data for each page.
3. Increase the density of the targeted keywords in your content.
4. Try to include targeted keywords in your headings and to "bold" some of the keywords in your content.
5. Image names and image "ALT Tags" should include your targeted keywords.
6. Include targeted keywords in your "Text Links".
..Hmm, a lot more to implement, but the above should show a significant increase in the quality of your ads!
Good Luck optimizing!
That said, I'll take another look and see what I can find to further optimize it. Thanks again.
