As a newbie I don't like to ask so many questions. Experienced long-standing members must get sick of answering the same old chestnuts.
My head is literally buzzing with things that I need to know the answers to because I truly feel that my ignorance of Adsense will be holding me back from progressing and earning an income sooner rather than later (I'm not trying to run before I can walk or trying to find a dodgy short cut to riches).
Is there an experienced and proven successful Adsense expert out there who has written a book or course on the subject that would make things fit into place?
At the moment I feel like I am gleaning so much information but it is not fitting into place just like a big unsolved jigsaw puzzle.
I don't mean to sound negative. I just want to learn as fast as I can.
Many thanks
In my opinion, some of the best Adsense information can be gained from this site.
It's not all neatly packaged in a downloable form, but good information nonetheless.
BTW... do not hesitate to ask questions. This is a forum, so question-asking and question-answering is what we do!
My site is a relocation website to a specific city in Europe. (It is only a week or two old so I am not expecting too much at the moment)
The information I have received on this site is amazing and I have learnt so much but I am finding it hard trying to piece everything together.
I might be particularly dim though or trying to make it harder than it is.
Thanks for your replies though.
The information you read in an individual thread might not make much sense to you, but as you read through more and more threads you'll begin to recognize recurring themes and eveything will become clearer for you.
One of the best things about this forum is the wide array of viewpoints contributing to the topics at hand. I almost always learn something from every thread even when the other posters and I don't exactly see eye to eye on a particular topic.
For example, EuropeForVisitors and I have vastly different opinions on two or three AdSense related topics and I often find myself sparring with him on one of them. But I can also honestly say that his experience and wisdom about AdSense and web publishing in general has helped me become a much better (and more profitable) publisher than I would be if he wasn't around. And there are plenty of others here worth keeping up with as well. Take advantage of their experience.
Just my 2 cents worth...

The only annoying questions are the kind that show the questioner expects to be spoonfed without doing any homework of their own.
I agree that there is enormous value in hearing from people with different points of view. If we only ever talk with people we already agree with, how could we ever learn anything new?
1) Don't try to do it all at once: start with KISS, and complicate stuff only when you find it to be useful.
2) Test. (Rinse and repeat.)
3) Ask good questions. I still find myself having to suppress some "of course blah blah" answers in my head (the voices, the voices!), and have genuinely learnt fron reading the good threads, including newbie ones, as with this one.
4) Don't ask what an MFA is, or how G can tell how many times you've clicked your own ads if the account is in your dead aunt's name! B^>

Great advice! My feeling is that things change so fast in the AdSense world that books can't keep up and that there really aren't 'old' questions other than the ones listed above.
