Quick question.
I created a new blogger blog about 24 hours ago and put my adsense units on. They still show irrelevent ads. I'm used to the ads being relevent almost immediately. Is there something different about blogger blogs that makes the ads take longer to be relevent?

I put some ads up over 17520 hours ago and I also have poor targeting. Let me know if you solve the problem. I have been working on it for many hours now.

When i had ads in my blog (i've since removed them) they never seemed to be very well targeted - and were usually for "get your own blog here" type ads. This even though my blog was very specific and had lots of target'able content.

On my website, i usually get relevent ads immediatly, or within a few minutes..

Sometimes I get relevant ads in seconds, but sometimes it takes a few days. There is really no precize guideline for this...

Relevent ads showed for me right away. I find that more relevent ads show when I use Google code to target my keywords for the site. Here's the code I put around words that I would like to see ads for:

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->

<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Hope this helps

What if there are no ads for that keyword?
Does it switch to another keyword in the text or does it just display PSA's?

I use this website to determine what Overture pays and how many times that keyword was searched in yahoo. Get creative.

I wold like to hear more about these google tags..

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->

<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

How well do they work and what to watch out for when using them?

I have been noticing ads on my site that are not targeting the content at all for some pages and for other pages the targeting is great.
I have seen my ctr go from 12% to 6.5%

Any advise?

that extra code you put in just tells google where to start looking for the relevent content. If there are no ads for that content it then uses the rest of your page as content instead.

if you search google for "adsense webinar" you'll see the transcript from when this feature was first released.
