Finally broke through the 100 mark with google today, at about 120, (thanks foxsports for a great targetted ad) and im very happy about it. with the ncaa tournament coming up and site traffic easily doubling in the next week or two, hopefully 200 will be the next mark to go. Now if only Burst or TribalFusion could fill a darn ad.. But I wont greedy (at least not till morning). Anyways, I was excited and wanted to share.

How old is your site? When did you join Adsense?
How much traffic do you get?
Do you have more than 1 site?
Wow, $100,- a day, you are way ahead of me!

the site's 3.5 years old but i started using adsense about 12 months and a week ago. ive never had particularly good ecpms, but this march the price per click is way up and ctr is up a bit from last year as well with better targetted ads up now. In fact, last March 15th there were 955 clicks (this is all on one site) and I made literally 50% of yesterday's 560ish clicks.. so far this month, its at about 15k unique visitors per day but it should rise to about 20,000 at least average for the month as the ncaa tourney is about to start and this is a college basketball site. page views are about 30-45k per day now, but not all have adsense. I basically use an ad format where there's a 300 burst ad box on the left stacked right above a 300 google ad. then at the bottom of article pages (this is a content site, not a marketplace for anything particular) there's a leaderboard or 468 google ad as well.

Netsnets,

How's your CTR?

I couldn't find an adsense ad on your main page until I scoured and scrolled all the way down to the bottom left.

Have you ever placed an ad a little more 'above the fold'. What if you put it a little higher up or instead of that giant flash banner? I'd wager you'd do a lot more.

Just a thought.

I wouldn't crowd your home page with any more ads. Personally I don't like ads on my home page.

Good Job. And by the way, Cincinnati is in.

The little adsense one on the homepage is really only for tracking purposes of how many page views the frontpage gets according to google. I try to avoid many ads on the front page, and honestly I prefer a low ctr for front page ads and want people to click through the content. Most of the clicks come from deeper pages (ie, 40% of the clicks these days are on ncaa tournament folder pages which get 2.5% ctr) where the adsense is more prominent.

Yea, Cincy's definitely in and will beat the cuse tomorrow hopefully. Not that I'm a cincy fan, but im sick of hearing people even slightly consider that syracuse is in.. though the cuse did beat you guys at home..

Is "YOUR AD HERE" a violation of the AdSense TOS?

You could change the wording to Sponsored Links or Advertisement

Cinci beat cuse at cuse late in the season.

Right. However, it's my understanding anything else might be construed as drawing attention to the ads, which is against the AdSense TOS. Anybody know?

After reaching more than $100 a day, the next great challenge is the first month, where the earnings had been on no day below $100

I was under the impression that "Sponsored Links" was considered drawing attention to the ads?

"Sponsored links" is ok according to TOS

by the way, just broke 100 again.. at least it wasnt just a one time occurrence.. its funny you guys brought up the "your ad here" bar. That was there from before when it was an adbrite or something code, and i never really considered it might be a tos violation.
