When should you request a google adsense rep?

I am not doing 20 million pageviews, but I am approaching 5 digit monthly

Been with adsense for about a year - been building traffic and earnings steadily - am approaching the 5 digit monthly earnings and was considering contacting google about a dedicated adsense rep

- i think I read a while ago that if you are a "big" site google will give you a dedicated adsense contact person to help you maximize revenue etc. -

am i still too small to ask for this - does anyone hree have a google adsense rep? what monthly figure should I hit before I ask for someone?

If I were you, I wouldn't ask for Google rep. I mean, 5 digits is nothing. It's a very small site.

Frankly, there are a lot of people who make close to $10k with adsense. If you make $10k from Vibrant or Kontera, they will probably beg you... but I'm not too sure about Google.

One of the things they ask you when they do contact you is not to reveal to anyone that you've been contacted :o)

They told me not to reveal "information" to the media or other AdSense publishers, not that I couldn't say I'd been contacted/invited.

The invitation came out of a course of emails I'd already had with them, so I think you can at least encourage them to get in touch.

That's the exact language of the email trillianjedi but it was easier to write here not to tell anyone :o).

I remember ASA saying in one of the posts that you surely can contact them and request for optimization consultation. So I suppose it could go either way - they contacting you or you requesting for it.

We were contacted by ours from the start to JOIN adsense and then chatted monthly or so, and she never said anything about not telling anyone anything. I have her direct phone# (and no I'm not going to give it out). Haven't heard from her for a while now. Guess everything is working as well as they hoped. On the other hand when they asked us to beta-test things there was a big deal, as mentioned in other posts, about not telling media or others.

Well we are in the 5 figure range and have been for months.
I tried everything and they would not give me any phone numbers.

I have been in the online business for over 10 years and usually I get sales reps crawling up my butt for business, but google doesnt seem to care.

Its very frustrating especially since I am seeing the same thing other people see, CT ratio up and ECPM in the toilet, doen 75% from last month with the same amount of impressions and clicks.

Not having account reps for 100k plus a year advertisers is costing google millions

How long have you been with Adsense Bad? We noticed that pattern about this time last year for a couple months (we had been with Adsense about 5 months then). It was very frustrating as it seemed the PPC dropped about 50% as they were getting more and more clickthrus. Then it started steadily climbing and climbing to about 2 or 3 x original and has stayed there ever since. My theory is it's part of a natural settling in testing cycle they have for seeing what type ads produce the best overall dollar earnings on your pages (high CTR-low PPC vs low CTR-high PPC), until they settle on the magic ratio.
If it helps any, we're seeing a minor, about 10% downtrend, over the last 6 weeks too. I figured it was the "smart-pricing" being kicked down a notch to cover their poor earnings last quarter :-).

mike, yeah we figure the same that they might go through testing and figuring out what works best.

Alot of people have seen that ridiculous drop over the last few days as well, so i wonder if its a glitch or deliberate.

As far as financialy go, yeah that was the first thing I was thinking. They stock took some hits and maybe the are trying to make that next quarter look good.

It would only make sense though if they are making the same amount on their and and just decided to lower their payouts, thereby increasing their bottom line

its time for adcentern and YPN to come out and play and give them a good run for their money
