However, adsense continues to say in its support emails that due to the agreement with lycos, they will not display ads on angelfire.com/../.. websites and hence cannot include this website in their adsense program. Even I stated it clearly to google in my email that mine is a paid site, they maintain their stand that although it is a paid website, they will not accept it.
Interestingly, when I wrote to angelfire.com, they clealy said that the agreement is for free sites only and the paid websites are not covered and hence adsense ads can be diaplayed by the person who paid the money.
I do not want to go for a domain name as I already have a no 1 ranking on google, yahoo and others for certain keywords and hance angelfire.com/../.. url does not harm me.
Not a question for a lot of money but to me it felt like another sort of bureaucratic insensitivity in a large organization.

But keep your angelfire pages, just put a link to your new domain, that way all the IBLs going to there will transfer to your new domain. Afterward contact whoever is linking to you to get them to link to your new domain. I'm assuming you might not be able to 301 your angelfire pages.
