I have done this and so far, BAD lol.. not that adsense is bad, just that getting traffic is extremely hard for me. When making a blog and using adsense with it. You have to stay focused on good content and " Stick to the topic" of your Blog. I always go affo topic lol my blog is about GAMING- all platforms. The biggest problem is not talking about the topic and producing good content, it's that nobody know I have a Blog :(.. traffic exchange programs are a waste of time and effort i mean to get 100 clicks at people who are only clicking to get their site clicked. They may not even like xbox360 or Guild Wars lol.
Right now That is where i am with it.. Getting Traffic is my main focus then i will feel like i am accomplishing something.

First create your blog - there are plenty of services for this (blogger, typepad). Once you have a decent number of posts on your blog then you can apply to Google Adsense for an Adsense account. They will look at your blog and assess whether you get an account (that's why you need to have your blog up and running and looking good).

Once you have an account, you will be able to get the Javascript code that you can insert in your Blog template (you will need to know a little about HTML/CSS to do this). Then Adsense adverts will start to appear on all of your blog pages (after a short while they will show relevent ads for the page content).

There is no point in applying for Adsense until you are getting some traffic for your blog. To assess how many people are coming to your blog you will probably need a page counter (small bit of Javascript that you can insert in your Blog template).

By the way, Google will know if its you and your friends clicking on the adverts (trust me on that).

hi
Thanks for the messages. I already have a website , and do run google adsense on it. So not a problem there. I do understand getting traffic is probably the biggest challenge. My domain is investment oriented so I see lots of potential in it!
