Hi! I debuted some Serbian content and to my amazement Google is displayings ads meant for the Russian market. Grrr!

Anyone know when/if Google plan to start incorporating the Serbian market? As far as I can tell, the Croatian market is doing just fine - and the population of Croatia is way smaller than Serbia!

Is your site all Serbian? If it was originally Russian and your just added Serbian content Google may be going by your overall theme.

At least that has happened to me when I add something a little different it goes with the overall site theme. Then after a while the ads start to fit the page better.

This may not be your problem but I thought it might help.

Yep, all Serbian, I guess the Cyrillic triggered the Russian.

I belatedly found out that you aren't even supposed to put Google Ads on Serbian pages, because Serbian isn't one of the supported languages yet, and Google's Adsense TOS says you can't put ads on sites which are primarily in an unsupported language.

Sorry Googs! The ads have been pulled. Please don't hurt my account, please don't...

Weird thing is that there are advertisers from Serbia and Croatia and ads in these languages are sometimes triggered by page content or geotargeting.

I've seen German and French and Italian adverts on my 100% english site but often it is after i have surfed to one of those language sites in the last 5 minutes...obviously adsense reads your browser cookies a lot.

I also have some site that's half English half Serbian and on Serbian pages it shows ads from stores and companies from Serbia on Serbian language. So do I have to remove the ads from this pages? How about Croatia? Are they are also not allowed to show ads but only search box?

How come these languages are not supported when they show correct ads?
Who else is going to show their ads if not webmasters from these counties?

I think that your problem is the Cyrillic script. Run it in Latin script.
