I think that it will depend on the age of your site.

Totally impossible to say. You start off earning peanuts, you learn a new skill, you hone and polish your skill and your earnings improve.

Or you buy loads of articles from ebay, publish them and await your riches ..that never come.

Or you stick adsense on your site and do nothing, then nothing will happen

Or you get all your mates to click on your adsense then start a new topic on getting reinstated after your ban.

It goes on..and on...on.

Earnings are based on clicks, clicks are based on promotion.

Topic plays a major part too.

The last thing you want to do is compare earnings until you are really successful, then compare success.

Sorry if all that doesn't answer your question but I think you read many more in the same light.

If you have no experience of running a website and don't understand that everything depends on your market, the traffic you can generate, search engine placement and marketing strategy, it might be a good idea to learn the basics of being a web piblisher before you begin tot hink about the money you can ake from it because without that experience, there will be no profit.

There is no average earning, how can you take an average from radically different websites in terms of design, traffic and marketplace?

I think your question needs to be " how much money can i get from Google immediately"?

Easy: (Income of all site + 1)/2

Many new sites and new for adsense earn 30-40$ months in the first month.

Speaking of topics, I'm doin a series of tutorials ranging from HTML to the the latest Web technologies. I know it's a difficult question, but do you think it's a great niche from which I could generate an income?

Yes, if they are well written. But, are you sure that adsense is the better way to monetize this? Ask me for more information and I can present you other ways...

I once heard someone say on these forums, "The Internet is flooded with two types of content: how to make webpages and porn." The HTML tutorial route has some pretty steep competition.

A lot of newbie webmasters have those questions. Try some searches, it's been covered about a million times already.

average earnings [google.com]

how much do you earn [google.com]

etc.

I'm very sceptical about what people claim to earn, not that high earnings are possible, but I sincerely believe that the genuine high earners concentrate on earning rather than blowing their trumpets.

"The Internet is flooded with two types of content: how to make webpages and p*rn."

Where can I find these pages about how to make p*rn?

And for what it's worth; my first day with Adsense I made about 1 buck. But that don't mean jack cause the first ads were served late in the afternoon. The second day I made about 3 bucks. It is a niche website with technical info and hundreds of visitors every day. Right now that site makes me about 5 to 10 bucks a day. I know, it aint too much but hey, it still is a couple of thousand a year. More than enough to pay for a laptop and hosting and some more stuff.

It all depends what you want to earn, the price of a laptop an hosting is excellent, paying of the mortgage is a target.

This is my 2nd months on adsense

1st month - Average $7-10 per day
2nd month - Average $2-5 per day

I am not sure why...maybe adsense cut the commission?

I definately agree with that. There is money to be made, but I've seen several people matter-of-factly say they earn $1000+ a day. That is a ton of traffic. I know there are sites that get that kind of traffic, but if I managed one of those sites I'd have no time to post here. I'd probably be hesitatant anyway. I wouldn't want anyone thinking they could take some of the traffic from me.

I would be more likely to believe someone has 20 sites earning $50/day.
