I was just wondering how many sites does an average webmaster own. How many do you own? and how many of them display adsense?

One. And it is earning very well. My other site displays Yahoo ads exclusively.

One good earnings, another with no ads till it is one year old, you dont need too many sites, just good traffic and good topics that you would feel good developing.

I own only one and about to start some massive marketing. I hope that creates higher CTR.

I've also been thinking about starting new sites, but I really can't see having the time to work on them all.

I have four sites displaying AdSense. I should be adding two soon.

Dozens of domains, a fist full of sites, half running adsense.

One site running it on content pages, and YPN! on my forums.

Two sites: one with AdSense, the other without.

(I tried running AdSense on my "legacy site" for aspiring freelance writers, just to cover my expenses, but nearly all of the ads were for vanity presses and other shady services, so I pulled the ads.)

I was just wondering how many sites does an average webmaster own.

What does one consider as average? I would guess that most have 3-5 maximum. All my sites were bought with my niche business in mind way before Adsense, and nearly Google for that matter, was even considered.

How many do you own?

100+, hopefully another 20+ when .eu comes along.

and how many of them display adsense?

All except for the test site and then Adsense is included at the last moment when ready for launch.

Does Yahoo work as good as google in earnings for you?

I own about 10 sites that I keep maintained - a couple of them for my wife.

I do very well indeed (thank you Google) on one of the sites, moderately well on the associated blog, and disastrously on a site I set up to try and earn a few bucks in an unfamilar niche.

The others don't carry advertising, some because ads don't work on them, some because ads are not appropriate on the sites.

I have AS on 6 sites

There was someone here who launched up 100 new sites a week!

And came on here the week after to whine about getting booted from AS no doubt.

I don't know if there is a limit, or what the limit is. But we all know that Google are looking for auto-generated junk sites and zapping them from Adsense.

Are they zapping them from AdSense, or just from Google search results?

silverbytes - No. My YPN earnings are lower. eCPM is so much lower and CTR is lower, although sites have same topic (one is just an expansion of a subtopic in my main site). Ad placement are also very similar as well as colors used. But I am sticking with YPN just to see where this program is headed.

You can have adsense on as many sites as you wish but you only have 200 channels per account for tracking purposes

One. But it's a topic I know & care about. I have no time to create another as good.

I currently have 3 sites but I am ready to add another one within a couple of months as it has become 1-year old and starts gaining traffic.
