Future warning letters

Warning letters Google may send

I have read many posts about Google giving warnings for invalid clicks, intentional or not. The idea that a competitor could run a java executing validator on your site and possibly generate a warning is a serious concern.

Couldn’t Google just state that 'no more than 3 clicks' will be credited per IP? This would prevent those of us that use adsense from worrying about receiving a letter.

Any ideas?

Proxies. Think about AOL and others. Impossible.

With proxies in mind, how about just not crediting the IP in question? For example, say I run a validator on your site, it rings up an excessive number of clicks on adsense. Rather than warn or terminate, why not just disallow credits for that IP?

There are too many proxies out there... However, I suspect they could use cookies to track things.
