Anyone else notice an increase in Payouts and Click rates?

Compared to when? By how much?

Things have definitely picked up since Christmas--in fact yesterday was the best day of the month for me, and today looks like being the second best.

My revenue has doubled today... I think google did something to give better paying ads on the site. I'm getting a lot of the 2 ads in a 4 ad box. I'm thinking it's helping.

CTR is average but eCPM has more than doubled for today. I hope this trend continues and is not just a one day glitch.

Things have shot down for me since about a week before Christmas. The 26th and 27th were the best days ever for me - traffic, impressions, clicks - but Google's earnings were way subpar.

December way up for me. Site traffic around average but everything else way up, daily earning records broken 3 times already since Dec 20th... I had prepared myself for a big xmas slowdown but it's been an amazing last 7 days.

No xmas present from Google but this more than makes up for that.

I'm with sunflux,

Earnings have been tanking all month and not showing an increase as yet.

I expect once the silly season is behind us things will get back to what we jokingly call normal. :)

Pretty dismal here since the 23rd.

Mainly down to low traffic is recovering, but the adverts being shown are pretty dismal leaving earning down at about 50%.

Hello.
New here and trying to learn as much as possible.
The reason I post is this : yesterday I had an eCPM at least 150 times higher than on any other day. Did this happen to any of you guys too? What can I do?
I contacted AS Support, asking them to check and tell me if everything's ok.
I sure hope it's a good thing the eCPM was that high... maybe it will happen again. It felt good to earn more money with a couple of clicks than I earned from all the clicks on other days. :)

Beginning Dec 27, our traffic went back up to pre-Jagger levels. We're back at the top for the keywords we lost. Not only is our traffic back up, but CPM is so much higher than before so our earnings are really on the up and up. If this continues, we're going to have a really great 2006.

had an increase about 15% in page impressions starting from boxing day, yesterday as the best day I have ever had with $153, since boxing day earnings have been over $100 mark where before xmas they were average $85 a day

ctr was also up a little over last few days as well, today does not look that good compared with the last few days but doesnt look like its going to be any worse than my normal $85 a day so not ogin to complain.

also noted that there has been a bit of movement in the google search engine so this might account for the increase in traffic and earnings for me, just hope it stays as what it was over the last few days (that would be nice)

oh and I cant believe I actulay got a xmas pressent from google, how cool is that.

regards

Yes blue_eagle, the traffic is the same.
Also today the eCPM is much much higher than usual, yet lower than yesterday. Strange thing, this eCPM is so unusual just for one page of my site, all the others have normal CPMs.

December as a whole is about 30% above November in earnings with no major changes. The EPC is the difference with page views and CTR normal.

That's even better than it looks when you consider the slow traffic days around Christmas.

The real change occurred for us when AdWords changed their valuation of the landing pages. The MFA's seem to have disappeared which is having a beneficial impact on our EPC. Also getting some pretty high (for us) individual clicks of over $1 which helps the overall averages.

I would move my adsense banners for a while and wait google's answer 150 times more ecpm is a very strange thing tho.

Depends on the context. If the usual eCPM is $1.00, and the site is not getting much traffic, one click on a high-value ad could easily increase the eCPM temporarily to $150.

I would only be concerned if there are many more clicks than usual.

My EPC, CTR, and eCPM have up sharply in the last week or so. That's normal for my topic (leisure travel), and I see the same pattern every year.

Come to think of it, affiliate bookings are also emerging from their December slump. The shock of going back to work after the holidays must make people think about spring travel. :-)

I'm seeing much higher payouts this week and I thought it would be quiet before New Year's.

Google must be giving out year-end bonuses to its affiliates!

Hunderdown, the "strange" eCPM was well over $2500.
