Just got an invitation to a webinar held next wednesday. Subjects will include AdSense referrals, Onsite Advertiser Sign-up, new reporting
features and more. There will be a sort of q and a afterwards.

Webinar means you get to watch a (live?) presentation online and may be able to ask questions afterward. When you sign up they will tell you what you need.

Last time they also provided an 800 number to listen to the webinar by phone.

For those who missed the last one here is a link to the transcript.

god i hate that fact at adsense that there is only one mail assigned to an account..

I work everyday with adsense, but our company policy is that everything that has to do with money goes via the CFO, so i have to beg him all the time to get those kind of infos, (because he gets those mails)

why cant adsense handle this like google analytics where you can assign different people with different mail for one account...

other then that wish i could join...

I received the invite too. I'm on a slow dialup connection though...would that be an issue?

I signed up also...guess I will find out how a slow dialup connection impacts on this when it happens. (I must live in the only place in the world where satellite connection is impossible, cable doesn't exist, and even highspeed dialup is unavailable)

don't know if I was invited or not....can't check my mail and the tree cutters come on monday to clear a way for the directwav connection. Hope I get on line with sat by then...This dial up is terrible after using high speed for so many years.

You know what Homer Simpson would say?

- 'Boooooooring!'

I have better things to do than waste my time on webinars.

I signed up,and was confirmed, but where I will be for Christmas has only dial-up. Will this be a problem do you think?
I have not done it before.
Should I try to find a friend w/ cable to let me borrow the connection for an hour, or will dial-up work?

Just checked my mail. The invite was there but got it too late :(

I'm signed up, it will be my first AdSense webinar. I do fear that it may be too elementary and boring for someone who has already read everything that gets posted officially by AdSense.

But since just one thing I've overlooked might bring in extra cash it can't hurt. :)

WebEx Events Requirements:
-Internet connection=56K kbps connection or better(AOL users: AOL5.0 and above only)
-Netscape 4.x or Internet Explorer 4.x and above
-For teleconference participants, a separate telephone line is required (in addition to the line used to dial up to ISP, if applicable)

Never could sign in. The webex event emails clearly stated that no password was required, nor was one provided.

Just went through my later emails to find they changed to include a password.
Maybe next time.

Then why bother dropping comments that really don't add any value to the conversation?

That's just rude and disrespectful to those that do care about AdSense.

No password was needed. However, the sign in was not as described in the email. There was a small button on the bottom right of the first page I was sent to by the email that took me on into the Webinar.

I'd poked around the site quite a bit before finding that button. :o

The audio didn't work for me in Firefox or Exploder, even though the test audio did work.

I didn't find that button either, or whatever was needed to get in. :(

When I went to login, I was asked to fill in a password box.

The audio didn't work for me in Firefox or Exploder, even though the test audio did work.

I'll second that. I called the 800 number to listen

Yes, I now remember that password box. But it was obvious what to do when it appeared.

The sound system was indeed poor. I used my headphones and got through it. I couldn't tie up the phone line for that long or my other half would've had a fit.

I seem to have found the page and kept getting a notice that my password was incorrect. The first several emails I got from webex, up until the 17th, stated that no password was necessary. Looking back today I notice that starting on the 20th, the emails stated that the password was 'adsense5'. I didn't see that until after the fact.

I had this exact same problem, but I began trying to log on 20 minutes early and by 10:00 am MST I finally had figured it out. I complained about this on the webinar feedback form.

But if you read all the AdSense material online you didn't really miss anything but a review of these things. I got the impression at times that the webinar was held to sell features that aren't as popular as they'd like them to be. It was good to get a sense of the people behind the scenes but I didn't really learn anything new.

I had no problems. I found the information to be a little redundant since I read most of it here at WW. But I did gain a little insight to the section targetting which I implemented right away.

Looking forward to the next webinar. Gave google a little more personal touch. I liked it.
