Software to check sites for existence

To maintain the URL filter list to a minimum

After a discussion here, I started to look on my URL filter list for maybe big advertising company had only some few bad ads.

Surprise, several domains have vanished.

Now I would like a software, where I can put the whole list, and get a result list.

Any link checking software can do this. Just save your filter list as a bunch of HREF links in a web page.

I'm not sure that test would be reliable though. I believe the actual link can be different from the displayed domain, which is what you would use for filtering.

Just checked the first 50 in the URL filter

3 big agencies, maybe only few bad campaigns
3 DNS error
3 file not found on start page.

use changedetect or do a google on "web page monitoring"
