Hi WebmasterWorld

Have anyone had experiences from using adwords to "jumpstart" a forum and site? ŽBy this i mean actually spend money promoting the site for a period in order for it to get airbourne.. Or will it just drop once you drop the adwords again?

Thx in advance.

My site got clobbered back in Feb. Lost 80% of all traffic. I had to do adwords to attempt to ride out the storm of bad serps.

It turned out very well for me and now that I am back in G's good graces I am continuing with Adwords.

Beware that there is a lot to learn in Adwords to get bids low but still have your ads show.

Depending on your adsense CTR you'll need average EPC of between 30 and 70 cents to make it worth while.

i would suggest it if your forum is a good niche forum because hopefully if you pay low for some good traffic they will return to the forum to see who responded to their message and hopefully tell their friends to join.

I used adwords a while back to get some traffic to my vbull forum and i paid around 5 cents a click for several days and got around 15 members in those couple days, i cant remember what i ended up paying but the forum is slowly gaining speed.
