I wake up .. check my adsense, sit at my computer for about 24 houts then go back to sleep wake up and check my adsense, checking all the time im awake every 20-30 min intervals.

I'm suffering stress from working too much, managing a site on your own is difficult if you are dependant on adsense you also depend on unique and active vistors and this is really hard to maintain, at the same time adsense pays my bills, my everything and without it i'd have no money.

I have litrally done this for around 11 months now hardly any sleep constantly trying to develope my site more and more, and maybe im starting to suffer depression/stress outs when my adsense falls below a target i was hoping to achive the following day.

Can anyone suggest things i can do that wont get in the way of adsense but will help me not be so paranoid checking all the time

I would seek professional counseling if I were you. I don't meant that as a joke either - what you are describing could lead to long-term damage to your health, and at that point all the money in the world won't help you out.

There's nothing wrong with tracking trends, but what you describe goes above and beyond.

If you are that concerned with tracking tends, pay three people $75-100 each, per day to do this for you (college students for instance, who could use the money and who could handle the hours), and go off and enjoy yourself, and don't worry about stats - just worry about adding and researching new content.

I started out watching Adsense fairly often. I found that the less time I spent doing that, and the more time I spent doing things like writing new articles, that I enjoyed it more, and that Adsense did just fine.

That's the beauty of Adsense - you don't have to watch it all the time - you can always go back and look at the history if you need it.

You might be surprised how much of your compulsive Adsense checking is due to mood problems (and not the other way round). I am on an anti-depression drug myself and I do not attribute it to Adsense at all.

Try to see a patient doctor and you will get some really good tips on how to improve and maintain your health. Good luck!

Some great tips here for those suffering from high stress/anxiety/depression.

Key points are, frequent breaks, exercise, balanced diet, minimum 8 hours sleep, and a little social contact will go a long way to a successful recovery.

Although I never suffered stress/anxiety to the level described in this post, I did start to feel it after about a year of this and started making the changes I mentioned above. If you don't act quickly your anxiety will escalate to higher and higher levels and do even further damage to your health.

Maybe Google should publish an Adsense Anti-Anxiety tips page.

Or, get involved moving to a new home with a slave driving son helping you....Just kidding, don't know what I would do without him. :)

Point is, you MUST get interested in other things and GET OUT OF THE HOUSE! Why am I shouting, you ask. I have been forced (health wise) to stay in except for occasional visits to the store. Now that I am getting well and getting my strength back I go into the worst anxiety attacks you can imagine at the very thought of leaving home.

It feels horrible, can't hardly walk, breathing labored, no breath to even answer anyone when I am out alone and I get a feeling of imminent heart attack. These last few days of forced outings is the best thing that could have happened....I am gradually getting past the anxiety with someone there to help me and take up the slack.

PLEASE, make it a point to get out even if you only take a short walk around the block or just sit on your doorstep.

Agoraphobia, (I believe it is called), is a very bad and scary thing but it can be prevented in the early stages where I believe you are.

You can blame it on adsense or anything else but clearly those are excuses to give you a reason to stay in.

Please help yourself before you get to the point of not being able to leave your home.

As long as publishers see Google as God, depend on it for their income, and live in fear of it's almighty wrath, the anxiety will not go away - it will only get worse.

My best help to high Adsense stress was being accepted into the YPN program.

For me, Google Adsense is no longer the be all, end all. Now it's just another program. Thank you, thank you, Yahoo. I still put in massive hours, but it is way more fun, without the constant fear of Google's whims. If they shoot me, I have an excellent alternative.

Come on, MSN!

Try applying to YPN, if you are eligible. Spread the risk, you'll feel better.

It gives an interesting experience how all the monotheistic religions developt.

Hi GuruSense,

as we are all a bunch of helpful people, you might publish here the list of your sites, so we would all put up a click attack on them.

So, you would get rid of your Adsense anxiety (and of Adsense itself)

TAKE A BREAK!
