Letting the Adsense bot through

Do we have an IP range and a user agent?

I've quite a few pages which are passworded out in my site.

I'd like to let the Adsense bot see them, though. I'd like to watch for the user agent - which has been posted here before - and the IP range that the bot comes from (which hasn't, yet, been posted here). If both of those conditions are met, I'll let it through to look.

Does anyone know the IP range for it? (I'll also ask Google).

The useragent is "Mediapartners-Google/2.1". The IP in my logs include:
64.68.87.41
64.68.87.55
64.68.87.66

Any others?

It looks like 64.68.87.x would be a good move.
I have additionally asked Google whether the AdSense bot's results will appear on the main Google - obviously, I don't want the passworded pages being accessible through that.

The MediaPartners bot does not pass information onto Googlebot. So your pages wouldn't appear in SERP.

I'm personally having trouble "seeing" the AdSense spider coming to my sites (unless it doesn't come by very often, which would explain things hehe)....

I'm using GoogleStats (google it, first result) to see when GoogleBot and other spiders drop by and what pages they look at.... and I added another spider to the program's list with AdSense's info (agent, IP range, etc)... so far I haven't seen it once (my sites are pretty high traffic). I see standard Googlebot hundreds of times a day.

So perhaps some other info is needed to track it - I got the agent and IPs right out of my apache access logs though.

Peace.

Official response from Google suggests the information is...

IP range: 64.68.86.1 - 64.68.86.255 and 64.68.87.1 - 64.68.87.255

User agent will always start: Mediapartners-Google

This bot does NOT share any information with Google's search engine - not cached info, nor telling where to visit, or anything.

Information I hope others will find useful.
