I'm new to Adsense, a new member here, and also have a new website that I use to run Adsense (it is launched on Oct 1, 2005).
My October earnings (is it OK to post earnings?) from GA is around $45, and this month sometimes I get $0.something and sometimes $4 until $7.
The problem here is that I don't know what to do to improve GA earnings since I'm very stupid at designing, colour matching, and other similar stuff that requires talents in artistics. :)
Also to be honest,I'm really counting on my website to feed my family.. :( Just lost my lawyer job a few months ago.. sigh.. So please give me some inputs to improve. I also don't understand about the CTR, and others but I'll try to find out.
Forgot to mention, my website has also been in search engines such as Yahoo, Google, and others, and for some keywords, it have a good pagerank, 1st page.
I'm also planning to launch a few other websites on different topics, but firstly I need to know what I should do to optimize it.
My website can be seen at my profile.
Take a look at the forum library: [webmasterworld.com...]
And generally, match font size and link color for adsense and your site.
Remove the borders around the ad block.
Integrate the ad block in your text. When people finish reading your articles they may think 'hmm... where to go now?', an adsense links right after the article gives them the answer.
Join other ad services too, so you have something to fall back on should you be kicked out from adsense.
Good luck.
My new website that I'm currently developing will be focused on quality contents, just like some of you have suggested.
Thanks all, lucky for me to join here and meet helping members. :)
Traffic Exchange / Autosurf
I would suggest to stop using this.
It's seen as low quality visitors.
There had been discussions, that such traffic exchange could lead to loose the AdSense account.
At last, it could by smart pricing bring EPC - earnings per click - down.
Please read all the discussions about traffic exchange dangers.
Work on quality link exchanges that is on topic for your site and be sure to hit all the better directories out there.
DO NOT advertise in other sites guestbooks, That really brings your image down and angers the webmaster.
If you find a good site you think would bring in lots of visitors open a dialog with them and try to get a cheap link placement.
Other than that you have to realize that Rome was not built in a day and you will have to be patient and grow your visitors organically and if that is too slow consider a low priced AdWords campaign.
