hi guys,

need some advice..my adsense application was rejected(recieved their email today)..

can i reapply some time later after making considerable improvements to my site.. or

do i have to make a new site altogether as the previous rejected site will not be accepted again whatever changes i make.. or

will google never accept me again as my first application was rejected (then its no use making improvements or even a new site)

please guys advice me...

waiting eagerly for your replies..

Did they give you a reason why they rejected you?

Have you read all the AS rules to see if you have broken any of them in terms of site content?

Are you connected with anyone else who has been thrown out of AS?

Is this a new site or did you buy it from someone else?

no it was my first google adsense application ..and it was a brand new site..and i am not all related to anyone who was thrown out of adsense..

all they said was

<paraphrase - Thanks for applying, not now, site not acceptable.>

it was a business related site..

what should i do?

Keep working on your site and in the meantime try some of the other revenue streams available to you.

Obviously there was something that set off the alarm bells at AS.

You really need to get those broken links taken care of.

You probably aren't banned, but they have probably made note of the reasoning for you being denied so they can look it up the next time you apply. So you'd better fix it.

If I remember correctly from another thread (sorry if I'm wrong), you had built your site using a free template and had many broken links.

The TOS state that the site may not be under construction or contain broken links.

Now, a broken link or two on a huge site may not be a problem once you're in, but the one time you really want to have your stuff together is when there's a real live human coming and inspecting your site. If it looks unfinished or spammy then you will be denied accordingly.

So fix the links, build content, wait, and reapply.

I agree with astro_miner. If the site in question is the one in your profile you in effect have no content. Add content and make it a functioning website you most likely will be accepted on the second try.

They will accept you if you make the appropriate corrections. Be confident. Good Luck!

actually, from the link you sent me I saw NO original content. You might be better off to write and build a new site.
All I could find were data feeds from other sources, not written content.

This happenned to me, it was silly of me to apply at that time, I had just nuked my site in order to rebuild it from scratch and all there was to it was an apology for having nuked it.

I couldn't find a logical way to reapply from the website so I applied for a new account with a different email after making a new site (turned out 5 working pages was enough)

Note that ordinarily G will ban you for having multiple accounts, but I went ahead with this since they did not accept my first one, it's not really multiple accounts. (I hope)

Once you have the account, you can put the ads on any number of sites you want, of course if any of them violate the TOS you lose the whole acccount.

Do adsense accept sites up on free web hosts (such as tripod, geocities etc.). I would guess not - as these would have other adverts on the page - which i would guess would contravene the TOS. but maybe some knows off the top of their head here.

You have to have editorial control over any website you put it on or some such, IE it's your hosting account, either at geocities or a real webhost.

Free hosting is not specifically disallowed, but I don't think google is interested in putting adsense on the average geocities page.

I think what mohitkapoor wants to know is:
Did any one here re-apply and got accepted using the same domain / content / email address after fixing the issues or complying to policies and TOS.

You should and can reapply after you will improve your site.

I reapplied and was accepted but it took a few weeks and some follow up emails. (may not have helped or been necessary)

In the time that took I had already built a new website and applied with an alternate email addy, been accepted and started getting impressions and clicks - I had forgotten about the old account applicaton when I was advised that it had been accepted.
