Google may fight LVMH ruling

The court ordered Google to pay €100,000 for "counterfeit acts" and another €100,000 for "unfair competition and false advertisements".

The case is the latest in a series brought by companies against Google's practice of selling trademarks as keywords. It is also an example of vigorous efforts by luxury goods companies to protect their brands and fight grey markets for their products.

I seriously doubt this will have any impact at all on how G does business in the states and the rest of Europe.

Anybody know where I can buy a counterfeit Benz?

How about a counterfeit villa?

I'm feeling a bit like the hoi polloi amidst my counterfeit trappings of wealth and success so I'm thinking I may need to upgrade to maintain my status.

I would like a piece of counterfeit Roquefort cheese.
Nothing extravagant mind you, maybe one or two pounds
and made my genuine counterfeit frenchmen who know precisely how. -Larry
