Google Mulls IPO.

The Sunday Business reports that founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page are considering taking the company public before the end of the year. "The odds are that we will go public," Mr Brin told the newspaper.

I thought it was funny he listed "greater respect" as a reason. I guess I am in the minority for having greater respect for them as a private company.

I would rather they DID NOT go public, at least not yet.

As far as I can tell, as private Internet companies go - they are the biggest as far as traffic and interest. Is this correct?
