The rumors at SES this week were that eBay is going to buy Google because of competition from Froogle and AdWords.

Any truth to that?

It makes perfect business sence for ebay to aquire Google, by doing so they acheive the sort of advertising property that would pay the investment many, many times over.

It's just a question of, can ebay realy afford the initial outlay.

Out of anybody else out there that has the market cap to buy Google, I would see Ebay as a potential suiter...and not many others. Although I still hold to an IPO with a $10BB + market cap.
