Any other designers out there suddenly have their CSS no longer validate with no warnings or error...?

What is going on with the background color stuff...?

My site with over 200 pages validated without errors or warnings on Tuesday.... Today they don't...

I used to get no errors or warnings found....

Now I am getting a ton of warnings...

Not just on the sites I have designed, but I check Zen Garden and all of those sites now have warnings...

What gives...?

I updarted my site (which has 300 pages) on Tuesday and checked the validation with WC3, and the pages I updated passed with "no errors or warnings found"...

Today they all have warnings.... and it all has to do wtih background color....

Yeah, looks like the W3C have changed the validator again. Providing a background colour for elements where you've specified a foreground one has long been a recommendation. It just hasn't shown up in the validator in recent times.

Yes, you are right...

I just got an email from WC3... they did "a bug fix" and now the background color issue is coming up...

For all who are intrested here is the link WC3 just sent me...

[lists.w3.org...]

Good luck to the designers out there who will have to go back and correct all of their CSS... Zen Garden, wow....

I'm not looking forward to it... All the time and money it will cost me to fix this background color issue...

Not sure why anyone sees a problem here.

Warnings are just warnings....Courtesy comments about wider issues that may apply, Of they don't apply, ignore them. If they do apply, be happy they were pointed out to you.

Like the sort of product warning labels you see everywhere.....If your printer carries a "do not use underwater" label it doesn't follow that the manufacture has to invest millons to produce one that doesn't need that warning note.

They are all still the same pages they were on Tuesday.
