Safari / UL - LI / Height Issue

I'm developing a site with a UL menu down the left hand side.

I've set a height on each LI to 27px, and on IEPC and Firefox the text of the LI sits centrally in the LI.

TOP OF LI

TEXT

BOTTOM OF LI

In Safari, it's:

TOP OF LI
TEXT

BOTTOM OF LI

Anyone know why?

I can centralise the text in Safari by padding the LI item from the top but this throws the IE/Firefox out.

Any ideas?!?

I dont know why this could be, probably IW and ff valigns the text automatically? but try using padding on both top and bottom of the li ^^

Try setting line-height instead of height
