Hi,
I have a site the uses php to change include files. The includes are in a div name "main". When I have flash images or images, They go above the other div's which are "z-index 1;" becuase I use "overflow: auto;" in the "div#main" to keep the page vertically centered.

I have no idea what i am doing w/ the layers and z-index.

Can someone please explain to me how to make the flash images be a layer below the other div's so it stays under the imag bordes?

thanks,
electricocean

Flash files are a unique case. Here's a recent thread that might help:

I believe that you can hide the layer that is holding the flash on roll_over ..

Well the point is, hiding the layer with the .swf in it, when an action occurs, is the only effective method I've found to over come your problem.

Other methods do not work cross browser.

If you haven't fixed it yet you can try searching info on <param ="transparent">. This doesn't work across all browsers (I don't think) but it should on compliant ones...

a little searching gets you a long way.

I am not really worried about the flash anymore, my main concern is movies.
