Hi.
I am looking for the proper CSS to cause the background of a

to change color on mouseover or hover. The cell will have a link in it that need not change, although I'd like to have the option of having it change color something as well.
I can't seem to search this forum and get any results. I just know it's a common question and there should be an answer..
I need it to work in IE6 and also mozilla-based. Of course, Opera too would be nice. Don't need any hack for older browsers, as this will be on the type of site where 99.9% of viewers will be novices with newer machines.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks.

As you've probably found, IE does not suppport :hover for anything other than . whatever:hover [xs4all.nl] is the best solution for me. It's a powerful, and indispensable, fix. Others will suggest IE7.

Sorry - that domain above should be #*$!

Not sure why it came out that way.
