Resizing fonts

I'd like to include a way for viewers to increase and decrease the font size on a website. I had thought of using javascript to load a different style sheet. Then I began to wonder if the easier way to achieve this might be to use the browser's own ability to change font size. Pros/Cons/Options?

There was a discussion about this recently on accessify. I think it resolved in the end about leaving them off, but supplying instructions on how to do it in the accessibility section.
