DHTML over Flash

I have a dynamic menu that rolls out over a Flash animation. Even though the menu's z-index is 10 and the flash is 2 the menu shows up under the animation. I got it working in IE by adding the parameter <param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> but now I am trying to get it to work in Firefox. Anybody know of a workaround?

if you are using that tag.. remember to put the

wmode="transparent" into the embed element.

eg.

<param name="wmode" value="transparent">
<embed wmode="transparent" src="images/news.swf"

however this is what we use to make flash animations transparent.... as far as having HTML elemtns appear over the top of flash... i am not sure as i havent tested

that worked, duh. I put it in one place but not the other.
