Hi,

In my homepage im working on <No site specifics, thanks. See TOS #13 [WebmasterWorld.com]> I have a two column layout, the second column is appearing further down the page where the first column ends in IE 6 only

I have seen this before but being a noob have forgotten how to fix it - is it the 3 pixel IE bug or is it the Box Model Hack I need to add?

Thanks

You have to provide more information like that, there could be several issues, displaying your code to look at would help.

Your just saying - "i got a prob" and thats it, lol

This is not much help to other people. The deal with WebmasterWorld is that you describe you problems in public, they get solved for free and then they're available for others to see and learn from.

IMO using WebmasterWorld to solve a problem in private is abuse of the forum.

how can it be private when you can get to the link and see the code, its a public site

Anyway problem solved - 3px IE bloat hack added to stop the div being pushed down

hey urbanmac.. I'm glad you got it fixed. The likely reason there was no responses is because of the referrals to a linked page. I'm with theDoctor when he says, that's not the deal here at the WebmasterWorld community ;)

to illustrate, I've lost count of the amount of times I used to search for answers to questions only to arrive at another Forum where the discussion was based on a page that had the code fixed or a broken/removed link. It's no help at all to those who might want to read it later ~ So we don't do that here!

for further reference:
This site search [google.co.uk] should provide ways to workaround the 3px IE Float Bug, the usual cause of "dropping" columns in IE, some with hacks, some without ;)
