Is it better to import, link or embed styles for your web pages. Also does anyone recomend limits on the size of CSS files.

It depends.

If you use <link> you can provide alternate skins for your website, or enable and disable stylesheets.

You can't do those things with @import as easily.

Both methods support media types.
