Hello i am new in web designing and i have the following problem.

I have an html page and i attach an external css file to some titles with colour and some text in my page. when i am trying to preview with f12 in Dreamweaver mx 2004 i can't see the changes i made with css file. I have not the same problem when i am using internal css. What is happening? how can i correct the problem becouse i want to work with external css and i want to see with f12 what i am doing.

ps. When i upload my page to the net i have no problem the css file works fine on my page...
Thanks!

I suspect your external css file is being cached by your browser or proxy and the F12 only refreshes the html file.

Try to manually refresh your browser by pressing F5 or CTRL-F5.

You need to save the css file before the browser or design view in DW will render with your changes.

When you hit F12 in older versions of Dreamweaver it creates a temp page so you can preview the page. When you hit F12, check the URL in the browser window.

You may be looking at an old preview page that it has not forgotten or overwritten.

The cleanest way to preview pages in Dreamweaver is not not even use it.

DW MX 2004 seems to be better than previous versions.
