We have to design a website for school.
It has to be xhtml 1.0 strict and with use of css ofcourse :)

Now, I experiencing lot's and lot's of trouble and already read trough several forum's and newsgroups.

Still, I can't seem to resolve the problem. I already tried relative posittioning of the childs. But it seems that you can't allign them next to eachothers if you use relative.

Welcome to Webmaster World!

What kind of "trouble" are you experiencing? If the problem is merely a matter of getting elements to align next to each other, maybe floats would work better for you.

no, that's not the bigg issue, the main issue is that one child is exiting the parent div.

I have send you a private message with the url in it. Since that's a subtile way to show you the problem it can't be seen as "personal promotion" .

without showing the problem it's a bit difficult to explain. :s
