I plan to learn about CSS. Right now, I know nothing. Complete css newbie. ;)

Can css do the same thing that SSI does?
Will I be able to replace all our SSI with css?

CSS is meant to stylize (x)html markup. It does things such as change font colors, but of course that is only the beggining of CSS's capabilities. Check out the following thread for a bit more:

CSS are cascading style sheets and they're used to structure the content of websites.

SSI stands for server side includes (stuff like menus on dynamic sites etc) and is very different to CSS.

Hey, thanks for the fast responses!

Okay, well that clearly answers my question. I use SSI's for such things as the header content and the footer content, for uniformity throughout the site. I can see that css cannot replace that function of SSI.

Can't wait to learn more about css.
I'll be lurking here, for a while. ;)
Thanks, again.

Don't stay there too long! If you are having a problem that you don't think has been covered yet (or in some time), ask away.

That's how we all learn!
