Ordered list styling

Bold numbers and normal text?

Hi,

Is it possible to have bold numbers and normal text in an ordered list so it looks like this?

1. Bananas
2. Apples
3. Oranges

The only thing I can think of is applying bold to the li element, but then wrap the text in a span tag and set it to normal text.

li {
font-weight: bold;
}
li span {
font-weight: normal;
}

<li><span>Text here</span</li>

Maybe you could use the generated content stuff from CSS2? [w3.org] Not well supported but...

Thanks guys. Although the generated content stuff doesn't quite do what I'm after, it looks very interesting and I'm sure I'll be using it for future projects.
