Padding for Inline Elements in IE 5 for Win

adding padding around some text doesn't work?

Hi all,

I was at some guy's house a couple of week ago and pulled up my site in IE 5 for Windows. Some of the CSS I was using wasn't working. I've been adding style to some text like this: <a href="nothingToLookAt.html" style="background-color: green; padding: .2ex 1em .4ex 1em;">Test</a>, but IE 5 doesn't seem to see the padding. Does IE 5 support padding for inline elements?

Hmmm...

I'm not the best on bugs (just don't have the thingy, er... Memory!) but I think that sounds right.

At least I rmember that the last time I got a bit tricky with some inline links it was 'npt pretty' on IE5

Can one of our technical crew confirm?
