I hope someone can help me out. I've been using the:

{Keyword:Widgets} for all my adwords, has been working terrific. I just updated my adgroups last nite, and then today I get an email from google cancelling all of my adgroups. Please someone tell me what to do to get my ads back up and running.

This is what google said in the email:

----------------------------------------------
Campaign: '1st Full Test,' Ad Group: 'Ad Group #12'
----------------------------------------------

KEYWORD(S): Blue Green Red Widgets

Action taken: Disapproved
Issue(s): Keyword does not meet Editorial Guidelines
~~~~~~~~~
SUGGESTIONS:
-> Keywords: When the keywords listed above are automatically inserted
into your ad title or body, your ad does not meet our Editorial
Guidelines for "Repetition in a Row".
Please review our Editorial Guidelines at
[adwords.google.com...] and edit your keyword
list accordingly. To continue using these keywords as is, you can add
them to another Ad Group that does not use the keyword insertion tool.
Does the ad copy start with "widgets"? I don't use the dynamic insertion but I have had ads shut down for simaler reasons. Basically my ad would read:
Green Widgets
Widgets are great for
Everything you can think of.
The ad would be shut down for repitition between Widgets at the end of the title and Widgets at the beginning of the copy. Adwords actually does not view the title as a seperate peice of the copy but as the begining of your copy. In other words, in order for the ad above to be correct according to editorial guidelines it should read:
Green Widgets
are great for
Everything you can think of.
Of course this looks stupid and no one really makes ads like this but that is how the editors look at it.
Thanks Hannamyluv, you hit the nail on the head.
<<<Does the ad copy start with "widgets"? I don't use the dynamic insertion but I have had ads shut down for simaler reasons. Basically my ad would read:
That was my problem exactly. It's funny b/c this is what I had running for 2 months, and only got charged with it yesterday when I updated my ad copy.
Let me ask you (and the rest of webmasterworld), is there a way I can still use:
{Keyword:Widgets}
Widgets are great for
Everything you can think of.
But instead of {Keyword:Widgets} use {Keyword:XX}? (XX being any other word). Is the word "Widgets" in {Keyword:Widgets} automatically entered into the Heading? Or is the heading just the keywords that are being searched for? (I am sort of new at the adwords game).
One more question, you said this is what google woudl want you to have:
Green Widgets
are great for
Everything you can think of.
But would this be illegal?
Green Widgets
These are great widgets for
Everything you can think of.
Would this get banned for repitition? I didnt realize you couldnt use any of your keywords in the ad copy?
This is how I have gotten around the problem in the past. They haven't had a problem with it most of the time. I have run into an editor or two that would not allow a main word, in this case widgets, to be repeated twice in an ad at all but that has only been a few times.
