Hi all,

I want to display a generic name on the display URL, becasue the site that the advert links to changes depending on various circumstances so the display URL does not and cannot match the destination URL.

I keep getting my ads refused, is there any way around this? CAn I just put an IP address in there?

TIA

Ben

No but is that a way round it? I mean I own something like www.leadingoffers.co.uk but the final destination would not always be this site so when I've used something like www.books.com which they cancelled, would they know I didn't own that?

have you thought about how the owner of www.books.com would feel.

I know if it was 1 of my generic domain names, I would not be happy.

ok i see what you mean but lets say i put in www.bensbooks.com and it goes to davidsbooks.com becasue of a variable that occurs - they will refuse it if the ad says bensbooks.com and that is what I am trying to avoid.

In the above lets assume I own both.

Ben,

But the bit the concerns them is the fact that the USER is clicking on an ad, and then NOT being served that actual site.

I totally understand your reason for doing what you need, however lets as always think about the user.

Interesting case though, and hope that fellow members including AWA can answer...

I guess I could send it to framset with a 0 height top pane - therefore retaining the one URL.

Cheers for your help.
