Do we pay per click to show on AOL, etc?

When a googleads ad shows on AOL search or any of the other sites that use googleads as "sponsored" sites, if someone clicks on it from there, does that count as a CLICK on the google side? In other words, am I paying Google to show my ads on AOL? I am not complaining if that is the case because I get alot of traffic. Just wondering if those clicks outside the google search count inside my campain.

Yes, you pay. You pay and you pay ;)

Adwords allows you to exclude other search properties, as well as exclude the small content providors (through the adsense program) for each campaign if you think that those users do not convert as well.
