Keywords disabled after only 1-2 impressions

What is going on?

I started a new campaign this morning and within thirty minutes G had disabled most of my keywords for not having a high enough click-through ratio. However the words only had one or two impressions at the time they were disabled. The most any keyword had was 242 impressions and it was disabled as well.

What can I do about this? Has anyone else had this problem?

These are not competitive words. I was the only bidder for most of them.

Were they trademarks of other companies?

No. They were disabled for click-through ratio after only 1 - 2 impressions.

The ad is not even for a product or commercial purpose.

Say the ad is for a homeless tribbles information and advocacy site.

The keyword "tribble" is general and was rightly disabled after 2000+ impressions and only five clicks. However the keyword phrases "homeless tribble" and "wild tribble" were also disabled even though they had only 1 impression each.

The entire ad was disabled due to a low CTR, probably. They disable by keyword or ad. If you have one keyword that has a low CTR but the rest of the KW have a high enough CTR to keep the whole ad above 1%, they will only diable the KW. If all of the KWs collectively are under 1%, they shut the whole ad down.

One phrase has 33.3% click-through. It is not disabled.

The ones I'm talking about have a red asterisk by them and say that the particular word or phrase has been disabled.

Contact the Adwords team by email, they are very helpfull people. You will usually find out exactly what is going on, and even if not you will know a little bit more than before. Also please post the upshot of your dialogues with them for us all to ponder.
