Hi folks! I am hoping someone can help me outhere with this!

I am just about to start a google ad campaign but i'm still unsure about a few things! One is how do I monitor myself to be in the top 3#? For example, if i am in 1st# and my max CPC is £3.00 what happens if my competitors in 2# are only paying £2.00 will google drop my CPC or do I do this myself? Also if there are ads in 1st at £2 and 2nd at £1.50 how do I get into spot 3 at £1.25? can a do this?

Hope someone sees where I'm coming from!

Also does anyone have number if I get unsure about the campaign?

Thanks a million!

>>> One is how do I monitor myself to be in the top 3

Login to your account every 24 hours and increase bid prices if you see your ads losing ground. Parallely, keep tweaking your ad copies so that you maintain good CTR.

>>> will google drop my CPC or do I do this myself?

If both the parties have the same CTR, Google will automatically drop your cost - this is called "AdWords Discounter" (check the FAQs). Note that CTR of the keyword is also considered for ranking.

>>> if there are ads in 1st at £2 and 2nd at £1.50 how do I get into spot 3 at £1.25? can a do this?

Read the FAQ. The ranking system does not depend on the price alone.

Thanks Vigbyor, I am new to the google ads so your helps appreciated. I have looked over the google ad pages but I will read faqs as you suggested and aslong as i'm in the top 3 i will be happy.
