So you've got a term that gets good traffic, incredible CTR, but no conversions (other similar keywords dont fare as well with traffic and CTR but do convert).

What to do?

Todd...shouldn't there be hope for a term that searchers like so much? Being in control of the ad creative and still getting high CTR smells like opportunity to me...

Lower the bid to a comfortable spend level. Add/refine negative keywords. Experiment with different match types. Refine your copy & landing page.

Ask yourself - how closely does you offering satisfy what these folks are looking for?

drop the term? I was wondering others opinions aside from toddb's. Not that I dont value toddb's...but is this the same song everyone is singing?

I figure, if my break even point (example) is $100 per conversion, and I have a word with a very good CTR but no conversions, that has only cost me $50, I should continue to let it run.

We find new keywords converting every day. New = a word that hasnt converted before, but has been running for over a year.

Is trimming your keywords if they dont convert really the way to go, despite other signs of life showing? I am trying to set up a campaign that will bring in lots of conversions long term...not just a few guaranteed conversions.

Maybe I am just a "theorist"

Add adsense to the site . If you have no conversions , people will click out using adsense and you will get some money back. Meanwhile keep experimenting...
