If you havent already done so, make sure your vat number is submitted as Google will be charging VAT from 1st July 2003.

Hi Shak, yes I was wondering about that too. It means that Google isn't accepting your VAT number as valid.

Assuming your VAT number is indeed correct then the trick is to prefix the number with your 2 letter country code. And note it's "GB" for Great Britain, not UK! Confusing isn't it!

So in my case Google expected the VAT number to be "GB7xxxxxxxx".

Once I did that the message went away, permanently.

Shak, in your defence I don't think Google's instructions make it all clear anyway!

And, if you add in your properly prefixed VAT number and then check your billing details it shows your newly entered VAT WITHOUT the GB prefix (although it shows you a French example WITH the FR prefix) - very bizarre...
