Which are "bad" countries?

Which countries have poor conversion rates for you?

I am pretty new to AdWords, and like others on this board, I am getting lots of traffic from the Search Network but virtually no conversions. A couple people have talked about blocking certain countries that don't convert. Anyone care to share any "problem" countries they have encountered?

Thanks...

Make sure you're opted out of the content network because there are chances of getting several irrelevant clicks because of which the poor conversions.
Another suggestion, check your average position, it so happens a lot of times that if you are in the 1st 2 positions, the conversion rates are lower than those at position 3 or 4.

There aren't many "bad" countries, per se... but as you expand away from your primary market - the conversion will vary... sometimes sharply, other times less so. If you're targeting the entire world minus a handful of "bad" countries, you're still mixing in a lot of drastically different markets.

I'd start small in your targeting and expand from there.

Depends upon what you want to sell..

For example...Get Rich schemes will sell well in Bangladesh, Pakistan , Sri Lanka , India etc .

High end Plasma TV's may sell well in USA or UK ..

I sell only in India ( Not get rich quick schemes ) but a product specifically targetted to this country . I have to Courier the physical product so I am restricted to my Country only... I do reasonable well...

Depends on what you want to sell. That is about all I can say. Think about your audience and target them. Perhaps your product simply doesn't convert well. Bad conversions aren't neccessarily bad. Look at it strictly from a profit standpoint.
