Declining Conversions Lately?

Something is really odd with Google in the last month. Conversions that have been very consistent over the last 2 years are now way down. I have to think there must be some connection to this recent turn of events coinciding with Google stock declining. I think the quality of search partners may be slipping and perhaps click fraud is on the rise.

Are you experiencing lower than normal conversion percentages too lately?

I'm down but it could be for many reasons. It seems since Jagger & BD people are spending more time correcting their own site issues rather than being in a buying mood. Plus I really can't target outside my areas without being seen as a spammer. My business was really climbing before Jagger.

We are experiencing the same thing.

Our logs show that Google is now showing our ads on searches that don't contain any of our keywords - NONE. Of course, users who click on those ads are not finding what they want.

It seems as though Google is desperate to generate more revenue from exisitng customers.

What mystifies me is why people click on ads without reading them.

Conversions for January and Feb were very high for us compared to Dec and Nov..... then all of a suden yesterday and today have dropped to dismal porportions....

It's like someone turned the switch off.... again...

Heyday interesting that you point out yesterday and today as being extremely poor - that has been the case with my clients' as well.
