Can we Auto Login to Change Budget?

Hey Everybody,

Does anyone know if we can setup a script to automatically log into AdWords?

Why do I want to do this? I have a daily budget set. AdWords tells me that the budget starts depleting daily at midnight PST.

By the time the USA wakes up, my budget is depleted. I don't know how many legitimate users are really clicking on my AdWords at that time of night. (I suspect that the great majority are paid clickers from my competitors. This can be done cheap from the other side of the world where it is daytime.).

I want to be able to control when Google AdWords starts charging me. They offer no way for the merchant to easily control this.

My options are
1. Manually login to reduce my budget at night. Then manually login to increase it in the morning.

2. If AdWords allows auto-login, then I can set up a cron job to do it. If this is possible, can anyone guide me or offer a code snippet?

3. Anything else?

Does anyone have an easy solution for this?

Just a heads up but I find my best conversions in evening and night time hours. The day time we see more non paying clicks. Sector is retail items.

Google AdWords tell me to manually start 'n' stop the campaigns. With the bucks we spend on it, you think they would use technology to make it easier for us. I submitted this feature to their "suggestion box".

I think we should be able to automatically choose the hours for on and off as part of set up and maintenance.

You can do it using the Google API, but you'd need to get a programmer to code it for you. There are some API applications being written or ready now that will do it, including some by members of this board--try doing a search for "api".
