Dear All,

I am newbie in this forum. Just signed up few minutes ago.

I have one question here and hope that someone here can help me.

I designed a website together with my friend. Two of us host in different hosting company with different domain name but exactly same contain.

She advertise his site using adwords so I am. She has over 200000 impression and I only have less than 5000. The maximum she ever bid is $0.03 for her keywords. But my keywords rarely can be activated with $0.06 cents. The minimun i can bid is $0.07 now. Even the same keyword will cost differently in her campaign and mine.

What's went wrong with my adword campaign? is there anytools out there to help her to generate so many impression on her keywords? is there any technique i still lack of at this moment?

Thanks for any help.

In the Google system not all ads are equal, primarily due to CTR.

Do your ads have the same wording? An ad that generates a higher CTR will pay less per click.

If you are both bidding on the same keywords, one of you will rank higher than the other. All things being equal, the higher-ranking ad will have a higher CTR.

If you bid higher than your friend, it is quite likely that you will get more impressions than your friend, and end up paying the same or slightly more per click than they do.

'Two of us host in different hosting company with different domain name but exactly same contain.'

If contain means content .... good luck to you both.

Are you targeting the same country? Compare your campaign settings pages.

Try using the same ad text. Did she have an existing account with a good history? That could make a big difference.

Try using the same ad text.

You know, in all this time, I've never once noticed 2 ads with precisely the same exact 100 characters in their ad wording.

Except of course when that famous auction site had multiple affiliate ads who were selling everything from human beings to fatal diseases.

Something like that would have struck me too if I saw it in a "normal" pair of ads.

Is it a violation of Adwords TOS or would the ad originator strike back by whatever means necessary? Some of my sectors generate near dopplegangers of my ads but nothing I could take them to court with.

Hi HitProf,

No. She created adwords account few days after me..
I am not sure about her campaign setting. will check it out next week.

Any one out there can bid something on 1 cents?

when I added my keywords the minimum bid always 2 cents. but if I put 2 cents all keywords deactivated. And I will need to increase to 6 or 7 cents.
